Japanese website Goo Ranking asked anime and manga fans to rank their all-time favorite heroes in the genre, and the results are diverse.
Goo Ranking's poll was translated in English by Twitter user Ken Xyro, and it features popular anime characters in recent years, and surprisingly, Saitama from One Punch Man came on top.
Saitama received 1,982 votes, 150 more than what the runner-up got. Ushio and Tora hero Ushio Aotsuki came next. The long-running anime series isn't very popular in the west.
Next one was Zatch Bell's Gash Bell, then Maeda Keiji. Masaru Saiga from Karakuri Circus placed fifth. Fullmetal Alchemist's Edward Elric came sixth and Gintama's Sakata Gintoki placed seventh. My Hero Academia's Izuku Midoriya made it to eighth place, and One Piece's Monkey D. Luffy placed ninth. Rurouni Kenshin's Himura Kenshin placed tenth.
It's surprising that Goku of Dragon Ball and Naruto didn't make it in the list. Personally, I think Lelouch Lamperouge from Code Geass should dominate this list.
