Official Image Of Sad Porg Reacting To Chewbacca’s Dinner Released

Warning: This article contains spoilers for Star Wars: The Last Jedi

Star Wars fans might have been wary of Porgs at first, but it seems like Star Wars: The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson's guinea pig-faced sea puffins have won over the hearts of a majority of the fanbase.

Though Star Wars: The Last Jedi might have ended up being a divisive sequel trilogy installment, most fans leaving cinemas had a lot of good things to say about the Porgs, loving the puffins cute and inquisitive nature.

For those who've already seen The Last Jedi, one of the most memorable Porg sequences must have been where Chewbacca tries to eat one in Ahch-To right after grilling it over an open fire. His feathered-friends give the Wookie a hard time though, looking up with sad eyes in a plea for Chewie to stop eating their friends.

Now, as the film continues its cinematic run in 2018, the official Star Wars Twitter account has decided to share a photo of the sad little Porg to celebrate the New Year. Check it out down here:

It's really hard to not give in to those sad, sad eyes. Disney must be having a romp with the merchandising of The Last Jedi's Porgs (and we're not really surprised).

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is currently screening in cinemas.
