Nomura Wants To Remake Final Fantasy V and VI

Fans were ecstatic when they heard the E3 announcement of Square Enix developing a Final Fantasy VII remake for the Playstation 4 and other platforms. A bunch of fans shared their expressive reactions online while some are still asking if the other classic Final Fantasy games will also get the remake treatments they deserve.

In an interview with VentureBeat, Final Fantasy director Tetsuya Nomura has stated that he'd like to create more remakes of other Final Fantasy titles, saying, "I've been working with Mr. [Yoshinori] Kitase since Final Fantasy V, and we've noticed that V and VI are missing. That bothers me. How come we skipped over those two?"

As much as I'd like to see the classic Final Fantasy games remade, I hope that they won't lose their focus on creating new stories for the franchise. I'm excited to see what they'll do with the Final Fantasy VII remake, but I'm also looking foward to play Final Fantasy XV, which looks promising so far.

So would you like them to create remakes of Final Fantasy V and VI? I'm sure a lot of you would also like to see remakes of VIII to X.
