The first trailer for Dark Phoenix has everyone worrying about Jean Grey yet only a few have noticed that the teaser offered glimpses at new mutants being introduced in the film. It has just been confirmed that Kota Eberhardt will be playing Black Queen, the supervillain who leads the Hellfire Club.
IGN has just unveiled a new photo from the X-Men film featuring the two new characters who will debut in the movie. The report reveals that Eberhardt will portray Selene. Check out the picture below.

Comic book fans will immediately recognize Selene as Selene Gallio, also known as the Black Queen of the Hellfire Club. The psychic vampire is capable of draining someone's life force and turning them into her slaves. Her appearance in Dark Phoenix is certainly a welcome one since her powers would be awesome to see on the big screen.
Selene will be joined by Red Lotus, who is played by Andrew Stehlin. The superhuman martial artist happens to have a history with the Black Queen in the comics so their interaction in Dark Phoenix should be an interesting one.
Selene and Red Lotus actually had a brief appearance in the Dark Phoenix trailer. The two characters were seen on Magneto's side as he faces Professor X in a particularly dark scene suggesting the former friends will be enemies once again. Interestingly, Beast is on Magneto's side as well, which could mean Hank McCoy will be turning his back on Charles Xavier.
The X-Men film is directed by Simon Kinberg and stars Sophie Turner, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Evan Peters, Tye Sheridan, and Alexandra Shipp. Jessica Chastain will play the mysterious Smith, who will try to control Jean for her own interests.
Dark Phoenix premieres on February 14, 2019.
