Venom 2 Casts James Bond Star Naomie Harris As Shriek

Venom 2 has found its Shriek. James Bond actress Naomie Harris has just been cast as Carnage's better (or worse) half in the highly anticipated sequel.

The casting news was confirmed by Variety, which reveals that the Skyfall star will be joining the Andy Serkis film as the Marvel comic book villainess. Harris is expected to appear alongside Woody Harrelson, who played Cletus Kasady in the mid-credits scene of the first movie.

In the comics, Shriek is a mutant who happens to have the ability to manipulate sound. This should be a good thing but she also loves killing people almost as much as she loves Carnage. Although both are portrayed as Spider-Man villains, there is a huge chance that both Carnage and Shriek will be the main baddies in the upcoming Tom Hardy film. Either way, we're already looking forward to Harris giving Shriek her own unique take.

Harris is best known for her portrayal of Tia Dalma in the Pirates of the Caribbean films. In addition to that, she is expected to reprise her role as Eve Moneypenny in the new James Bond film No Time to Die. After playing so many awesome characters, taking on Shriek should be no problem for Harris.

Venom 2 will bring back Hardy as Eddie Brock as well as Michelle Williams as Anne Weying. The sequel is expected to give Harrelson's character a bigger role to play (and hopefully, a better wig). It is scheduled for release on October 2, 2020.
