Thor: The Dark World Star Jaimie Alexander Shares Gross Post-Surgery Photo

Jaimie Alexander is known for being able to pull off some intense action sequences in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films as well as her TV series Blindspot. However, there's only so much that the Thor: The Dark World star can take. Alexander has just revealed she had to undergo surgery after injuries that may have been caused by a particularly difficult fight scene.

Alexander had previously admitted that she tore her anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) back in February and has been preparing for major knee surgery. The operation appears to be successful and the Blindspot star immediately shared a photo of her knee post-surgery on her official Twitter account. It's pretty gross so we hope you have a strong stomach for this one.

Don't say we didn't warn you. Nevertheless, it looks like Alexander is recuperating well after the operation and should be ready to work on Blindspot Season 5 soon.

But what are the chances that Alexander will actually reprise her role as Lady Sif in the MCU? The Asgardian warrior was previously expected to return in Thor: Ragnarok but Alexander had to opt out of the project because of scheduling conflicts. However, fans continue to hope that Sif will be back in just about anything in the future.

There have been speculations that Lady Sif will be getting her own Disney+ spin-off series starring Alexander. However, it is unlikely to happen right now considering that Alexander still has to complete work on the final season of Blindspot. We're certainly keeping our fingers crossed on the possibility that Sif will be back after the NBC series concludes.
