The Terror Season 2 Title, Synopsis Revealed By AMC

The Tuunbaq is coming back to AMC. The network has just announced the title for The Terror Season 2 and its synopsis suggests that the monster will be terrorizing a new generation.

According to Bloody Disgusting, AMC has confirmed that the second season will be titled The Terror: Infamy. In addition to that, the network released the new synopsis.

"Set during World War II, the haunting and suspenseful 10-episode season centers on a series of bizarre deaths that haunt a Japanese-American community, and a young man's journey to understand and combat the malevolent entity responsible."

Production on the second season began on January 14 in Vancouver. As of writing, The Terror: Infamy has not yet been given an official premiere date.

The series is also set to feature a completely new cast. Derek Mio has been cast as Chester Nakayama, the son of Japanese immigrants to decides to join the army. Star Trek legend George Takei will play Yamato-san, a community elder and former fishing captain who is detained at Japanese-American internment camps during the war. Takei will also serve as a consultant on the series.

The first season of The Terror was based on the novel of the same name and starred Game of Thrones alumni Ciaran Hinds and Tobias Menzies. Jared Harris portrayed Captain Francis Crozier in the series.

The Terror: Infamy is co-created and executive produced by True Blood's Alexander Woo and Max Borenstein of Kong: Skull Island. Woo will also serve as showrunner while Josef Kubota Wladyka will direct the first two episodes of the second season.
