The Matrix 4 Casts The Badlands Star Ellen Hollman in Mystery Role

The cast of The Matrix 4 is getting more interesting every day. A new report has just revealed that Into The Badlands star Ellen Hollman has been cast in a mystery role and she could be giving Trinity a run for her money.

The report comes from The Wrap, which confirms that Hollman will be joining Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss in the highly anticipated sequel. Although her role in the film has not yet been announced, there is a huge chance that Hollman will be kicking serious butt in the movie.

Hollman is best known for playing Saxa in Spartacus: Vengeance and Spartacus: War of the Damned. In addition to that, she had a recurring role in Into The Badlands as Zypher. She is trained in Jiu-jitsu, which is something that she might be able to use in The Matrix 4.

Hollman is the latest addition to the growing cast of The Matrix 4. It was previously confirmed that Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Watchmen), Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother), Jessica Henwick (Star Wars: The Force Awakens), Jonathan Groff (Frozen 2), Priyanka Chopra (Quantico), and Andrew Caldwell (iZombie) would be joining the sequel. Additionally, the film will feature Toby Onwumere, Eréndira Ibarra, and Brian J. Smith, who all appeared in Sense8, which was created by Lana and Lilly Wachowski.

The Matrix 4 is currently filming in San Francisco and is scheduled for release on May 21, 2021.
