The Mandalorian Season 2 Teased Moff Gideon's Possible Connection to Supreme Leader Snoke

The latest episode of The Mandalorian Season 2 may have brought us closer to the possibility of seeing Ahsoka Tano but it also had some interesting revelations on its own. For instance, Chapter 12: The Siege finally revealed what Doctor Pershing had been up to all this time and what the remnants of the Empire had wanted with Baby Yoda. In addition to that, the episode may have confirmed an interesting connection between Moff Gideon and Supreme Leader Snoke.

In The Mandalorian Season 2 Episode 4, Mando joined Greef Karga, Cara Dune, and the Mythrol on a mission to destroy an old Imperial base on the other side of Tatooine. As they were about to escape, they found several cloned bodies that were then revealed to be part of Doctor Pershing's experiment that used Baby Yoda's blood.

We only get a brief glimpse at these clones but it is immediately obvious that these bodies somehow resemble Snoke. With that in mind, fans are beginning to believe that Gideon is actually trying to create clones of Emperor Palpatine.

It was already confirmed in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker that Snoke is actually a genetic strandcast of Palpatine so this could connect The Mandalorian to the sequel trilogy films. Hopefully, we'll get to learn more about Gideon's plans in the next few episodes of the series.

The Mandalorian Season 2 Episode 4 is titled Chapter 12: The Siege and is now available for streaming on Disney+.
