The Mandalorian Season 2 Jedi Reference was NOT About Ahsoka Tano

The latest episode of The Mandalorian Season 2 didn't waste any time in introducing Ahsoka Tano. However, it looks like the episode's title Chapter 13: The Jedi wasn't actually referring to Rosario Dawson's character.

In The Mandalorian Season 2 Episode 5, Ahsoka immediately springs into action, taking on several guards and showing off the fighting skills she acquired as a Jedi. There are several instances where she is referred to as a Jedi and she even mentions another popular Star Wars character who was strong in the Force. However, Ahsoka herself doesn't admit that she is a Jedi.

There's a good reason for that. In Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Ahsoka decided to step away from the Jedi Order and no longer identifies herself as a Jedi. This could be one of the reasons why she refused to train Baby Yoda aka Grogu in the first place. However, it's understandable why everyone still thinks of her as a Jedi.

So who is the Jedi referred to in the title of The Mandalorian Season 2 Episode 5? Although it may have been a misnomer that stresses everyone's misconception of Ahsoka, it could have been a reference to Baby Yoda's true identity.

As a former youngling trained in the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, Grogu was well on his way to becoming a Jedi before the rise of the Empire. Hopefully, The Child will eventually get the training he needs so he can fulfill his destiny.

The Mandalorian Season 2 Episode 5 is currently streaming on Disney+.
