The Eternals will star Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Lauren Ridloff, Brian Tyree Henry, Salma Hayek, Lia McHugh and Don Lee. Interestingly, it was revealed that Jolie will be played Thena instead of the previously rumored Marvel character Sersi.

In addition to Jolie's Thena, Hayek will portray Ajax while Lee has been cast as Gilgamesh. Lia McHugh will play Sprite, Nanjiani takes on the role of Kingo while Henry is Phastos. Macary will be portrayed by Ridloff and Madden, as rumored, will play Ikaris.

Interestingly, Marvel has chosen to announce The Eternals ahead of another MCU film that is expected to premiere in May 2020.
