The Boys Season 2: Seth Rogen Teases Premiere Episode Is Better Than First Season

At this point, people are probably just counting down the days until the premiere on The Boys Season 2. Not surprisingly, co-creator Seth Rogen says that the first episode alone is well worth the wait.

Rogen recently spoke to Collider about the Amazon show's new season which is currently in production. Interestingly, Rogen confirmed that he has already seen the premiere episode of Season 2 and couldn't help but brag about it.

"They already have more resources for the second season, they're adding more characters, the scope of the show organically grows as the show continues. We just watched, actually, the first episode of the second season this week. It was a wonderful thing as producers. This is way better than I ever could've hoped it would be," Rogen said.

Rogen's co-creator and producer Evan Goldberg immediately backed up the claim, stating that the second season is "definitely better than the first season." Goldberg added that "it just looks a bit better, feels bigger, the actors all know what they're doing."

We're certainly looking forward to higher stakes in Season 2 considering that both Billy Butcher and Homelander are now aware that Billy's wife Becca is very much alive and taking care of the superhero's son. In addition to that, we're wondering how Hughie's relationship with Starlight is going to continue after what happened in the Season 1 finale.

The Boys Season 2 will bring back Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Tomer Capon, Laz Alonso, and Karen Fukuhara. The Seven (although we're not sure how many of them are left at this point) are set to return as well. The second season has not yet been given a premiere date but is expected to air on Amazon Prime by 2020.
