If you're one of the millions of fans who just can't wait for the second season of The Boys, Amazon has a special treat for you. A new clip featuring the young Homelander is here to remind you just how terrifying the superhero has been right from the start.
The short clip was posted by the official The Boys Twitter account and it's all about Homelander when he was still a little boy. But hey, just because he's an adorable blond, blue-eyed kid doesn't mean he can't be scary, right? Watch the clip below.
The video comes from the archives of Vought International where a tutor helps little Homelander with his lessons. He is taught about the American flag and Jesus Christ before being given a new lesson about Thanksgiving. Interestingly, the boy is interested in the father in the picture then immediately asks if his tutor is his mother. When she agrees to always take care of him, he hugs her so fiercely that he crushes her to death.
We're not sure if the clip will be shown in The Boys Season 2 but it's a terrifying glimpse at why Homelander is truly the scariest superhero out there. Nevertheless, it would be interesting to see his origin story in the next season.
The Boys Season 2 will undoubtedly bring back Antony Starr as Homelander and we're already a bit wary of what he will do to Billy Butcher now that it's been confirmed that Homelander has a son with Billy's wife. Although the second season has not yet been given an official premiere date, The Boys is set to return on Amazon by mid-2020.
