The Batman will Reportedly Introduce Robin to Set Up DC Spin-off

It seems like every villain in the Rogues Gallery will be making an appearance in The Batman. But will Bruce Wayne's young ally also show up in the Robert Pattinson film? A new report claims that Robin could be introduced in the upcoming DC flick in order to set up Dick Grayson's possible spin-off movie.

The report comes from We Got This Covered, which cites multiple sources revealing that Robin will be featured in The Batman. However, the outlet is quick to point out that Dick's appearance will be a brief one, perhaps only to introduce the character into the DC Universe. The reason behind the cameo is an interesting one because it is believed that Warner Bros. is currently planning a spin-off film featuring the Boy Wonder.

The possible introduction of Robin could be a strange but welcome move for Warner Bros. After all, fans responded positively to the version of Dick played by Brenton Thwaites in the Titans series. For now, we're not sure if we'll be seeing a very young Robin in The Batman since the news has not yet been confirmed by the studio. With that in mind, it is best to take this with a grain of salt.

The Batman will also star Jeffrey Wright as Jim Gordon, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as The Riddler, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, Colin Farrell as Penguin, and John Turturro as Carmine Falcone. The movie will hit theaters on August 6, 2021.
