The Batman Star Robert Pattinson Meets MCU's Chris Evans In Awesome New Image

Their iconic characters might exist in two different universes but that doesn't mean that Robert Pattinson and Chris Evans can't get along. A new image shows The Batman star hanging out with the Avengers: Endgame actor.

The picture was shared by Entertainment Weekly on Twitter. The photo was taken at the Toronto International Film Festival where Pattinson is representing his new film The Lighthouse while Evans is in attendance for Rian Johnson's Knives Out. Check it out below.

Well, there's something you don't get to see every day. It's awesome to see Batman and Captain America in the same photo.

Although he's happy to be the new Caped Crusader, Pattinson had previously confirmed that he was upset when his possible casting was leaked. According to the Twilight star, he had not yet auditioned for the role and was worried that the leak would make Warner Bros. change their mind about considering him for the role. Luckily, Pattinson still managed to get the part.

So far, Pattinson is the only star confirmed for The Batman. However, that doesn't mean that director Matt Reeves doesn't have big plans for the film. It was recently revealed that Academy Award winner Mahershala Ali is Reeves' first choice for the role of Commissioner James Gordon. Hopefully, the new Blade will consider joining the DC film before or after he begins working on his new Marvel Cinematic Universe project.

The Batman is scheduled for release on June 25, 2021.
