The Batman Star Reveals Interesting New Details About Colin Farrell's Penguin

People have high expectations of The Batman after the first trailer for the film was released on DC FanDome in August. But don't expect any interactions between Penguin and the law enforcement in the upcoming DC Extended Universe flick. Peter Sarsgaard has just revealed that he hasn't shared a scene with co-star Colin Farrell throughout filming.

Sarsgaard recently spoke to Collider about his new project The Lie but also offered some details about The Batman. Interestingly, when asked what he thought of Farrell's transformation into the legendary comic book villain, the Orphan actor pointed out that he hasn't seen his castmate on the set.

"I haven't been on set with him at the same time. I haven't seen him," Sarsgaard said.

This is interesting news considering that Penguin is expected to be one of the major crime lords in The Batman. Since Sarsgaard has been cast as a Gotham City district attorney, the information led to speculations that Farrell's character will stay relatively far away from the law's grasp. On the other hand, the movie is still being shot so there is a possibility that the scenes with Farrell and Sarsgaard have not yet been filmed.

The Batman is directed by Matt Reeves and will introduce Robert Pattinson as the new Caped Crusader. It will also star Zoë Kravitz, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Barry Keoghan, Jayme Lawson, and Andy Serkis. The movie has been given a later release date and will hit theaters on March 4, 2022.
