The Batman: Robert Pattinson Begins Jiu-Jitsu Training For DC Film

Robert Pattinson might not be bulking up for his role in The Batman but he's making sure he can fight in the upcoming Matt Reeves movie. A new image confirms that the former Twilight star has started his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training in preparation for the Warner Bros. flick.

The photo was shared by Rigan Machado, the same guy who helped train several celebrities. Check it out below.

OK, so it doesn't look like Pattinson is quite ready to be throwing people down just yet. However, he appears to be taking his lessons quite seriously although he's just sitting down. Perhaps we'll see more action-packed photos from Machado soon. In the meantime, we're already looking forward to seeing him in action in the upcoming DC film.

While Pattinson is learning how to fight like a pro, Reeves has been busy locking in an important character in his movie. The director previously confirmed that Westworld star Jeffrey Wright will portray Commissioner Jim Gordon in the film.

Wright will join Pattinson as well as Zoe Kravitz, who will play Selina Kyle aka Catwoman, and Paul Dano, who has been confirmed as the new Riddler after Jonah Hill passed on the role. The latest addition to the crew is Michael Giacchino, who will provide the musical score of the film.

It may still be a long time before we see Pattinson as Bruce Wayne. In the meantime, the actor appears as the Dauphin in The King, which is currently streaming on Netflix. The Batman is scheduled for release on June 25, 2021.
