We already know that there's going to be a Rogues' Gallery of baddies in The Batman. But which of them is the real main villain? A new report has revealed some interesting plot details about the upcoming Robert Pattinson film and it looks like the real Big Bad isn't who everyone was expecting.
The report from Fandom Wire shared the details about how several mayoral candidates being murdered. Interestingly, Oswald Cobblepot happens to be one of those people running for mayor in Gotham City and it could be revealed that he isn't the only one trying to eliminate the competition. According to the report, Penguin will be working with Edward Nashton aka The Riddler, who is the one perpetrating the murders.
So which one of them is the true main villain? The report claims that it will be the Riddler. However, there is still a possibility that Penguin will be the one who will emerge victorious in the film.
The Batman was already in the middle of production but needed to be put on hold due to the Coronavirus outbreak. For now, it's too early to tell what the rest of the storyline is going to be about. Nevertheless, we're looking forward to seeing Bruce Wayne trying to solve a series of murders in Gotham next year.
The movie is directed by Matt Reeves and also stars Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Jeffrey Wright as Jim Gordon, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone. The Batman is scheduled for release on October 1, 2021.
