The Batman Director Matt Reeves Celebrates Batman Day by Sharing Awesome New Art

Happy Batman Day! Fans are currently celebrating the Caped Crusader and it looks like Matt Reeves has something truly cool for everyone who loves the comic book icon. The director of The Batman has just shared some awesome new art in honor of the Dark Knight.

Reeves posted the art by legendary artist Bill Sienkiewicz on his official Twitter account. Check it out below.

"A new piece of art from the incredible Bill @sinKEVitch! Happy #BatmanDay," Reeves wrote.

We're loving the new art from Sienkiewicz which shows the Caped Crusader looking over Gotham City with the Bat-Signal shining behind him. Is it possible that this is a tease on what we could look forward to in The Batman? There are already speculations that the film will show how the signal came to be. However, this is simply based on speculations so it's best to take it with a grain of salt.

The first teaser for The Batman was dropped at DC FanDome last month and there was no sign of the Bat-Signal just yet. Hopefully, the next trailer will have more footage from the DC Extended Universe flick.

The Batman will star Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne, Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Jim Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as Penguin. The cast also includes Peter Sarsgaard, Barry Keoghan, and Jayme Lawson as new characters in Gotham City. See them all in action when The Batman finally hits theaters on October 1, 2021.
