It's no secret that people are still waiting for a third Deadpool movie now that Disney has acquired 20th Century Fox and could already be planning to release another film featuring Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson. However, there's one person who isn't eager to see Deadpool 3. TJ Miller has just offered an explanation on why the Merc with a Mouth shouldn't get another movie.
Miller was recently a guest on The Adam Carolla Show podcast where he discussed the possibility of Weasel returning in the planned X-Force film.
"They are doing X-Force, so Deadpool the character and Cable, I think, and some of the other characters went in there in X-Force and there are just now so many characters in that world that there wasn't really room for me to do X-Force," Miller said.
Okay, we get it. But his character can still return in Deadpool 3, right? Miller then pointed out that he would prefer that Disney doesn't work on a third Deadpool movie and made a Hangover comparison.
"The Hangover II was a lot of fun. The Hangover III felt like a cash grab. ... I think Deadpool 2, we knocked it out of the park," he said. "I really think it ended up being great, and I was worried about that. So what if Deadpool 3 is eh? Then you just kind of look at the whole thing and that's the one [that ruins it]?"
It's an interesting point considering that Deadpool 3 is now a huge risk because it's going to be produced by Disney. On the other hand, there are still fans who want to see more of Wade's antics so it could be a project that the House of Mouse will decide to pursue. Either way, it could be a fun film to watch out for, right?
For now, there has been no confirmation that Deadpool 3 will be produced. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
