Most of us probably believed that Supernatural would actually outlast the rest of the world. Unfortunately, the cast has just confirmed that Season 15 will be the final season for the CW series. The announcement was made through a truly emotional video posted by Jensen Ackles.

Ackles shared two videos on his official Instagram account. Both videos also feature Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins, who are clearly trying to keep it together. Watch their emotional message below.

Ackles and Padalecki had played Dean and Sam Winchester since the first season that aired back in 2005. Collins joined the series as the angel Castiel in Season 4. The show has already lost several endearing characters but has continued to move forward with the Winchesters' story for an amazing 15 years.

It was clear that the actors were holding back their emotions in the video. Ackles ended their message with a truly touching message for their fans who have been dubbed the SPN Family.

"I will say this, a little word from Mr. Eric Kripke, the creator of this world and these characters. In a show about family, it is amazing and is the pride of his life, that it became family. So thank you guys for that," Ackles said.

I'm not crying, you're crying. Seriously though, the show's impressive run has seen Sam and Dean go through so much and we are truly hoping that the final season will be the best one yet. Long live the Winchesters and may they get the happy ending they truly deserve after repeatedly saving the world for the past 15 years.

Supernatural Season 15 has not yet been given an official air date. However, the final season is expected to air on The CW by fall next year.
