Stephen King Possibly Teases IT Chapter 2 Trailer

Can we possibly hope for a new update on IT - Chapter Two? Author Stephen King has just teased on the sequel's highly anticipated trailer possibly dropping in the near future.

King recently took to Twitter to make an interesting announcement. Although Chapter Two isn't set for release until late 2019, the writer appears to be excited about something that's happening soon. Check out his tweet below.

It's still unclear what King meant with the announcement. Some believe that the Carrie author is just confirming that the film is officially finished. However, it's also possible that King is hinting at the release of the first Chapter Two trailer. With the flurry of new trailers being released this December, this is one teaser we're all looking forward to.

The synopsis for IT - Chapter Two reads as follows:

"Twenty-seven years after the horrific events of the summer of 1989, It (Bill Skarsgård) returns. The Losers' Club fulfill their promises and return to Derry to put an end to the shape-shifting beast once and for all."

In addition to Skarsgård's return as Pennywise, the young actors who played the Losers' Club are expected to make an appearance as well. However, the sequel will focus on the characters' adult versions who will be portrayed by James McAvoy, Jessica Chastain, Jay Ryan, Isaiah Mustafa, Bill Hader, James Ransone, and Andy Bean.

The sequel is just one of several adaptations of King's classic novels that will be released in the near future. A new adaptation of Pet Sematary is expected to premiere on April 5, 2019, while Ewan McGregor's Doctor Sleep is scheduled for release on January 24, 2020.

IT - Chapter Two will hit theaters on September 6, 2019.
