Star Wars: Will Ray Park Return As Darth Maul In Obi-Wan Series?

It seems like anyone who was once connected to Obi-Wan Kenobi now has the chance to return in the planned Disney+ series that could star Ewan McGregor. So what are the chances that Ray Park will reprise his role as Darth Maul in what is set to be the biggest Star Wars project in the near future?

There is little doubt that Maul is the one character who holds a major grudge against Obi-Wan other than Darth Vader. After all, Maul was cut in half when he faced Qui-Gon Jinn's apprentice in The Phantom Menace. With that in mind, the former Sith Lord could be the best candidate to be the Big Bad in Obi-Wan's spin-off show. Not surprisingly, fans are hoping that Park is up for the chance to return as Maul.

We already know that Park is eager to get back into action as Maul. He had a surprise cameo in Solo: A Star Wars Story and there is little doubt that he can still handle all of Maul's fancy moves. However, it looks like nobody has invited Park to join the Obi-Wan series just yet. Nevertheless, we're hoping that we'll get an official announcement about this really soon.

The Obi-Wan series was initially conceived as a standalone film back in 2017. Unfortunately, the plans didn't push through and Disney may have decided that Obi-Wan's story would be better told through a show on its streaming service. So far, McGregor is the only cast member who is expected to join the series.
