Star Wars: Will Ezra Bridger Show up in The Mandalorian Season 2?

It will still be a long wait for The Mandalorian Season 2 but that hasn't stopped fans from speculating on what will happen in the next chapter of the Star Wars series. After all, it has already been revealed that Rosario Dawson is joining the cast and is believed to be playing Ahsoka Tano. So could this mean that Star Wars Rebels' Ezra Bridger will show up in the show as well?

It was previously reported that Dawson has been cast as Ahsoka in the second season of The Mandalorian. However, it has since been confirmed that although the Daredevil actress will be a guest star on the Disney+ show, her role has not yet been revealed. Nevertheless, people are now speculating that if Dawson will play the former Jedi padawan, there's a huge chance that Ezra will have a cameo as well.

Comicbook.com has pointed out several reasons why it's possible that a live-action version of Ezra will be introduced in The Mandalorian. In addition to Rebels executive producer Dave Filoni being a part of the series, there were several clues hinting at the Jedi's return. For instance, there's the Darksaber that was featured in the previous season finale. It is believed that Sabine Wren might try to reclaim the weapon from Moff Gideon and since she and Ahsoka are both looking for Ezra, they might finally find him in the show.

It's a far-fetched idea yet also a welcome one for fans who are hoping to find out what happened to Ezra after the events in Rebels. While we like the idea of Ezra's return, it is best to remember that this is based on speculations and should be taken with a grain of salt.

The Mandalorian Season 2 is expected to premiere on Disney+ in October.
