Star Wars: The Last Jedi Actor Didn't Expect Paige Tico to Play Major Role in the Film

Paige Tico may not have been the most prominent character in Star Wars: The Last Jedi but there is little doubt that her heroic actions had a major impact on everyone in the movie. Interestingly, the woman who portrayed Paige has just admitted that she had no idea that her minor role would have a huge effect on the film.

Veronica Ngo recently spoke to Insider about her role in The Last Jedi and she shared how she was initially terrified about being a part of a highly secretive project.

"I remember being nervous and scared going into the project because they are so strict," Ngo said. "It's understandable, because it's so big, but I couldn't see anything, read the script, take any pictures. Thankfully I had just one line."

Although Ngo believed Paige only had a minor role in the movie, she was just as surprised as the audience when the character finally showed up in her scene. In addition to that, she credited director Rian Johnson for helping her make the sequence work.

"I saw the explosion on the screen and I was like, 'Holy s---, I did that!'" Ngo said. "When I shot it I had no idea how big the ship was or the ship I was bombing, I just acted the way Rian told me. The way it turned out, it was a great feeling."

Paige sacrificed herself to ensure that the Resistance could launch an attack on the First Order. In addition to that, her actions inspired her younger sister Rose Tico to stand up against the First Order along with Finn.
