People are already hoping to see more of the Knights of Ren in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. But how exactly did these mysterious individuals end up working with Kylo Ren? This will all be revealed in a new miniseries titled The Rise of Kylo Ren.

The four-issue comic book miniseries was announced at the Lucasfilm publishing panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2019. The comics will be written by Charles Soule (Star Wars: Darth Vader - Dark Lord of the Sith), who tweeted out some interesting details about his latest project.

"As just announced, I am writing THE RISE OF KYLO REN - a limited series comic launching in December, just before Episode IX," Soule wrote. "You know the one story everyone’s dying to see, about Kylo and the Knights of Ren? That’s this."

Soule is clearly excited about the new comic book series although he does admit he's not quite sure if he's prepared for the monumental task. "You’re not ready (hell, I barely am.)," he wrote.

Interestingly, The Mary Sue reports that The Rise of Kylo Ren already has its own slogan coined by Soule at the panel: "From Ben to Ren". It's a humorous yet fitting tagline and we certainly can't wait for the new comics.

Star Wars: The Rise of Kylo Ren has not yet been given an official release date. However, the comic series is expected to hit stores ahead of the premiere of Episode IX. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is scheduled for release on December 20.
