Star Wars: Mark Hamill Teases A Touching Han Solo And Luke Skywalker Reunion

There is little doubt that Luke Skywalker and Han Solo are two of several reasons why people fell in love with Star Wars in the first place. Unfortunately, the two characters will never be reunited onscreen now that they are both dead. But can we still look forward to an original trilogy reunion? Mark Hamill has just teased on what a Luke/Han reunion would look like if it ever happens.

Hamill recently shared an awesome new photo on his official Twitter account. The image shows the Star Wars: Episode IX actor along with Harrison Ford and comes with a touching caption. Take a look at the tweet below.

"What a Han/Luke reunion might have been like..." Hamill wrote.

It's no secret that Hamill isn't a fan of Han's shocking demise in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The Star Wars: The Last Jedi actor had previously confessed that he felt that killing Han in TFA was a huge mistake.

"I just thought, Luke's never going to see his best friend again. You look at it in a self-centered way. I said that it was a big mistake that those three people would never reunite in any way. I guess I was wrong because nobody seems to care! I have to stipulate that I care, but it didn't really seem to affect the larger audience. Luke, Han, and Leia will never be together again, and I'll probably never get to work with Harrison again," Hamill said.

Although it's unlikely that Han and Luke will see each other again, there's still a possibility that the two will share a scene with Carrie Fisher's Leia Organa in Episode IX. There have been speculations that the movie will have a flashback sequence where Han and Leia are dropping off young Ben Solo to train at his uncle Luke's Jedi temple. It's a hopeful thought but one that most fans are praying for later this year.

Star Wars: Episode IX hits theaters on December 20.
