Star Wars: Mark Hamill Shares Delightful Story About Working with Alec Guinness on A New Hope

The new Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker featurette is undoubtedly making people feel very nostalgic as they reminisce some of the awesome moments from the original trilogy. Not surprisingly, seeing the video has convinced Mark Hamill to share delightful details about his A New Hope co-star Alec Guinness.

Hamill shared the featurette on his official Twitter account along with a sweet caption paying tribute to Guinness. Take a look at his tweet below.

"People often ask me: 'Was it fun making those movies?' All you need to do is check out the cockpit footage in this clip for the answer. Alec Guinness had the patience of a saint putting up with us," Hamill wrote, adding the hashtags #GalacticGoofballs and #StarWars.

In the featurette, Guinness appears to be the only one who is taking the scene seriously although Harrison Ford has messed up his lines. Hamill himself couldn't help but laugh but Guinness kept a straight face throughout the scene. It's easy to see why Hamill has great admiration for the veteran actor.

We're loving the A New Hope throwback in the Rise of Skywalker featurette especially because it also features another icon we lost too soon. In the scene, the late Peter Mayhew is only wearing half of his Chewbacca costume with his face fully exposed. Just like Hamill, he is having trouble keeping a straight face and we can't blame him, because Ford is just too funny in the scene.

Hamill will return in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker this December 20.
