Star Wars: Joonas Suotamo Shares Touching Concept Art of Chewbacca and Maz Kanata's Reunion

There were a lot of emotional scenes in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker considering that it was the final film in the Skywalker Saga. However, some fans have pointed out that the reunion between Chewbacca and Maz Kanata was especially sad considering that the latter was consoling the Wookiee over the death of Leia Organa. Now we have a new look at the moment, thanks to Joonas Suotamo.

Suotamo shared the touching concept art of Chewie and Maz's reunion on his official Twitter account. Check it out below.

"I hope everyone is staying safe! In the meantime, here's Chewie and Maz! Some incredible concept art from the upcoming book THE ART OF THE RISE OF SKYWALKER written by @PhilSzostak with a foreword by Doug Chiang," Suotamo wrote.

It's a gorgeous image that instantly reminds us of the emotional moment in The Rise of Skywalker. In addition to that, we can't wait to see more concept art from the movie once the book is finally released.

The Art of the Rise of Skywalker is written by Lucasfilm creative art manager Phil Szostak and is set to be released on March 31. Hopefully, the release of the book will not be delayed due to the Coronavirus outbreak. Meanwhile, you can revisit the touching moment between Chewbacca and Maz by rewatching Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, which is now available on digital.
