Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Reveals Cal Kestis' Powers And Combat Skills Using The Force

If you tuned in to watch the official gameplay reveal for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, you were probably amazed by how efficiently Cal Kestis was able to take down his opponents (he may have been in God mode, but still). But, as Anakin Skywalker once asked, is it possible to learn this power? As it turns out, any player can mimic Cal's moves although we can't guarantee the whole God mode thing.

A lengthy new report from Game Informer confirms a few key details about Cal's powers in Jedi: Fallen Order. For instance, there is a special move that looks like a Force-fueled dash where you can leap forward by double-tapping the triangle in PlayStation 4. Additionally, other Force powers can be assigned to the controller's shoulders.

The Force powers include the 'Force push', 'pull', and 'slow'. While you have probably seen the first two being demonstrated in Star Wars movies and other games, the third one is said to be unique to Cal. With 'slow', Cal is able to slow down his opponent so he can circle them and exploit their weaknesses.

The gameplay demo actually showed off this power in one of the awesome scenes. At one point, Cal slows down a laser bolt then pulls an opponent towards him and into the laser's path. Heavy flex, but OK. We wanna try this out. (If you missed it, the move happens at the 10:52 mark in the gameplay demo above).

So how does it work? You'll have to combine Cal's different powers to make it happen. Luckily, you are able to learn more while playing. Jedi: Fallen Order will undoubtedly put the focus on lightsaber fighting but you'll also need to be creative with your combos.

Are you ready for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order? The game drops on November 15.
