Star Wars Finally Explains Rogue One's Benthic Two-Tubes Cameo In Solo

There is little doubt that Benthic Two-Tubes was one of the most memorable characters in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. After all, Tubes and his eggmate Edrio had a distinct look and were very capable of capturing what would be the future crew that would steal the Death Star plans. But what happened to Benthic after he showed up in Solo: A Star Wars Story? A new comic book offers an explanation.

First, let's check on the timeline. Although Benthic and Edrio were both in Rogue One working with Saw Gerrera, Benthic was revealed to be one of the Cloud Riders who went with Enfys Nest in Solo. Unfortunately, things weren't going smoothly for Benthic after the attack on Jedha, as revealed in Star Wars 67: The Scourging of Shu-Torun, Part VI.

In Star Wars #67, Benthic is leading the Partisan survivors in an effort to destroy what remains of Jedha. In their minds, the only way to avenge their fallen friends is to commit planetary genocide. Luckily, Leia Organa convinces Benthic to change his mind and the heroes brought the remaining Partisans to Salobea. But before that, Han Solo spoke to Benthic about their past.

It's great to see that Han remembered Benthic and tried to remind the Tognath that he can still be a hero if he chooses. In the end, Benthic left with a promise to change for the better.
