Star Wars: Episode IX Teaser Might Be One Of Disney's Several Super Bowl 2019 TV Spots

An awesome football game isn't the only thing fans can look forward to this Sunday. It has just been confirmed that Disney nabbed several TV spots during Super Bowl LIII. Could the first teaser for Star Wars: Episode IX possibly be one of them?

Ad Age recently revealed which companies are buying ads for Super Bowl 2019. Although most companies are quite clear with the number of ads, the report only states that Disney "will air an undisclosed number of spots in the game."

Naturally, the TV spots could be for any of the several Disney films that are scheduled for release this year. It's possible that we will get new teasers for the Marvel movies Captain Marvel and Avengers: Endgame. The animated flicks Aladdin, Toy Story 4, Dumbo, and The Lion King could also get TV spots. But will Disney actually release the first footage from Episode IX during Super Bowl 2019? Fans are certainly keeping their fingers crossed on this one.

Although it would be great if we could finally see an Episode IX teaser, there is still a possibility that Disney is saving the Star Wars film for a later event. It was previously reported that the first footage from Episode IX might actually debut at the Star Wars Celebration in April. Nevertheless, we still hope that a brief teaser will get people hyped up for December.

Super Bowl 2019 will be a match between the Los Angeles Rams and the New England Patriots. The NFL game will air on Sunday, February 3.
