The official title of Star Wars: Episode IX has yet to be revealed and so fans have continued sharing their theories about what the next Star Wars film will be called. But is it possible that it will be the complete opposite of A New Hope? A new leak suggests that the J.J. Abrams movie will get a title that is "hopeless and dark."

The leak shared on Reddit reveals that the Star Wars logo on merchandise boxes will feature both Rey and Kylo Ren in "a split face" where they are divided by a lightsaber that is red on one side and blue on the other. "Boxes are black, Star Wars logo is silver, and I mean like a shiny silver," the poster wrote. However, that's not the most interesting that can be found in the post.

The Redditor also admitted that he already knows the film's title but feels "it is too risky to reveal" just yet. Instead, they offered hints at what to expect.

"It’s a bleak title. If your guess has 'Rise, Dawn, New, Birth, Rebirth, Redeem, Reformed, Hope, Spark, etc...' you are way off the mark. They definitely want this thing to feel hopeless and dark," they wrote.

The clues certainly point toward one of the more popular theories about the Episode IX title, which could be Son of Darkness. After all, most fans believe that Kylo Ren will ultimately succumb to the Dark Side before he faces off with Rey in the film. However, none of the details have yet to be confirmed so we recommend taking this with a grain of salt.

Star Wars: Episode IX will hit theaters on December 20.
