It's certainly an ominous title for the third and final film in the current Star Wars trilogy. There is little doubt that it refers to Kylo Ren, who was last seen trying to kill Luke Skywalker and the survivors of the Resistance in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Will Kylo finally do what he promised and finish what Darth Vader started? We'll find out next December. In the meantime, we recommend taking this information with a grain of salt.

Kylo Ren certainly seems to be connecting with the Dark Side and a comic book may have confirmed this. It was previously reported that Darth Vader #25 actually featured Kylo's line, "Let the past die. Kill it, if you have to," from The Last Jedi. Interestingly, it appeared as Vader's spirit form killed the souls of the Jedi he had already murdered.

Star Wars: Episode IX is still scheduled for release on December 20, 2019.
