Star Wars: Diego Luna Shares Update on Cassian Andor Series

There is little doubt that people are already looking forward to the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story prequel series after the success of The Mandalorian. But what's happening with the show that will focus on Cassian Andor? Diego Luna has offered an update on the highly anticipated Disney+ series.

Luna recently spoke to Variety where he was asked about the new Star Wars show. However, the Y Tu Mama Tambien star somehow revealed that there isn't really much to talk about since the series is still in development.

"I'm not allowed to talk about it, which is great because I haven't started," Luna stated.

It may still take some time before the Cassian Andor show will begin production. There have been speculations that Luna will not have to start filming until later this year. Nevertheless, he is already satisfied just knowing that his character will be back in the future.

"I'm just happy, I'm happy to be part of that universe," Luna said. "Because I grew up watching those films and having the chance to explore the role in ten hours, or as many hours as we get, it's gonna be great."

We're glad that we'll be seeing more of Cassian in the future. However, it will still be a long wait for fans. Nevertheless, we're hoping to get some updates on the series soon.

The Cassian Andor show will also star Alan Tudyk as K-2SO. Although the series has not yet been given an official release date, it is expected to air on Disney+ in 2021.
