Star Wars: Dave Filoni Teases Another Major Character Joining Ahsoka in The Mandalorian Season 2

It will still be a long wait for The Mandalorian Season 2 but it looks like Dave Filoni is giving fans "a new hope." The executive producer of the Disney+ series just posted a new image on his official Twitter account and it could confirm that another Star Wars: The Clone Wars character could join the show along with Ahsoka Tano.

Filoni recently changed the banner on his Twitter account and it appears to be a sketch depicting Ahsoka Tano riding alongside Captain Rex. Check it out below.

It's an amazing illustration that teases on the fact that Ahsoka and Rex's stories are far from over. After all, both are still included as the main characters in the final season of The Clone Wars. On the other hand, fans are speculating that it means the two could be reunited in a completely different series.

It has already been confirmed that Rosario Dawson will have a guest-starring role in The Mandalorian Season 2 and people believe she has been cast as Ahsoka. Not surprisingly, fans now think that Filoni's new banner teases on Rex joining Ahsoka in the Star Wars series. As some have pointed out, the art depicts the older versions of the characters so it's unlikely to be a tease on The Clone Wars.

For now, we can't confirm yet whether either character will appear in The Mandalorian Season 2. With that in mind, it's best to take this with a grain of salt.
