Star Wars: Chewbacca Actor Joonas Suotamo to Host The Rise of Skywalker Viewing Party Online

The Coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19) may have ensured that everyone is staying home right now but at least we can now watch Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker without leaving the house. But what if you get the chance to view the final film in the Skywalker Saga with one of its stars? Chewbacca actor Joonas Suotamo has just been confirmed to host a viewing party of Episode IX.

The confirmation comes from the official Star Wars Twitter account, which reveals that Suotamo will be the host of an online viewing party of The Rise of Skywalker. Take a look at the tweet below.

The Vudu viewing party will allow fans to enjoy The Rise of Skywalker while interacting with Suotamo on Twitter on Friday, March 20. This means you can finally ask the Star Wars actor some of the important questions you've been holding on to for a long time. Needless to say, it's an awesome way to spend your Friday indoors.

Suotamo first played Chewbacca in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, a role that he shared with the late Peter Mayhew. In addition to appearing in the sequel trilogy, he also appeared in Solo: A Star Wars Story alongside Alden Ehrenreich, Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover, Woody Harrelson, and Paul Bettany.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is now available on digital. The film is also expected to be available on 4K, DVD, and Blu-ray before the end of the month but the release has been delayed due to COVID-19.
