Star Wars: Ahsoka Tano Appearing in The Mandalorian Season 2 Could Explain What Happened to the Darksaber

There is little doubt that The Mandalorian Season 2 is one of the most anticipated shows this year. After all, it has already been confirmed that Rosario Dawson is joining the cast of the Star Wars series and fans believe that the Daredevil actress will portray the live-action version of Ahsoka Tano. But is it even possible that the former Jedi padawan will fit into the show's current storyline? A new report points out that the Darksaber was a huge clue.

In the Season 1 finale of The Mandalorian, Din Djarin managed to defeat Moff Gideon and cause the villain's TIE Fighter to crash. However, it was later revealed that Gideon actually survived the crash and even used an unexpected weapon to cut himself out of the wreckage: the Darksaber which was last seen being handed off by Sabine Wren to Bo-Katan Kryze. So how did it end up with Gideon?

Screenrant points out that Ahsoka is one of the few Star Wars characters who has some experience with the Darksaber. In The Clone Wars Season 4, she fought against Pre Viszla who then wielded the weapon. With that in mind, there is a possibility that The Mandalorian Season 2 will bring in someone who is capable of fighting (and defeating) the Darksaber.

This is an awesome idea considering that everyone wants to see Ahsoka in (live) action and going up against the Darksaber all over again. However, it is also important to point out that Dawson's guest role in the series has not yet been announced. For now, it is best to take this with a grain of salt.
