Star Wars Actor Warwick Davis Excited to Return in Disney+ Willow Series

There is little doubt that everyone is excited about the upcoming Willow series now that the project has tapped Jon M. Chu to direct the pilot. However, the one person who is most thrilled about the news also happens to be the lead. Star Wars actor Warwick Davis has just admitted that he is eager to revisit his character in the upcoming Disney+ show.

Davis, who originally played the titular Willow Ufgood in the 1988 movie, spoke to Lucasfilm.com where he confessed how people have always had great things to say about his character.

"So many fans have asked me over the years if Willow will make a return, and now I'm thrilled to tell them that he will indeed," Davis said. He continued by stating that all the positive reactions to the character have made him eager to return as Willow.

"Many have told me they grew up with Willow and that the film has influenced how they view heroism in our own world. If Willow Ufgood can represent the heroic potential in all of us, then he is a character I am extremely honored to reprise," Davis said.

It would be great to see what happened to Willow after all these years. Needless to say, we can't wait to see Davis in action again soon.

The pilot, which was written by Solo: A Star Wars Story screenwriter Jonathan Kasdan, will be directed by Chu who will also serve as executive producer alongside Kasdan and Wendy Mericle. Original director Ron Howard is also confirmed to executive produce the series.

The Willow series has not yet been given an official production start or release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
