Star Trek: William Shatner Says Captain Kirk Should Be In Quentin Tarantino's R-Rated Movie

There is little doubt that Quentin Tarantino's Star Trek movie is going to be an interesting project considering that the Once Upon A Time In Hollywood director is aiming for an R-rated film. Not surprisingly, William Shatner wants to join the movie and already has some ideas on what Captain James T. Kirk will be up to in the Tarantino film.

Shatner recently spoke to People Now where he was asked if he would reprise his role as Captain Kirk (via Trek Movie). Interestingly, Shatner pointed out that he doesn't want to play Old Kirk.

"If Quentin Tarantino said to me 'Will you play Captain Kirk in this film?' and it isn't like – Leonard Nimoy played Spock in one of J.J. Abrams' films and they went back in time to see him, and I said to him 'Leonard, when you go back in time and you are still old Leonard, that's really old.' They go back in time and he still looks old," he said.

OK, so Old Kirk is out of the question then. However, Shatner seems to be aware that his age would still catch up with him if he plays Kirk again. Here's what he had to say about what Kirk would be doing in Tarantino's movie:

"Oh goodness yes. [Running wild] through the fields of hay, running, running, and then having a heart attack and falling down."

That's probably not something fans would want to look forward to. Nevertheless, it would be interesting to see what Tarantino could do with an R-rated Star Trek movie with Shatner.
