Star Trek: Discovery Season 3 Episode 3 Reunites Michael with the Crew


Well, that didn't take long. The first images from Star Trek: Discovery Season 3 Episode 3 confirms that Michael Burnham's reunion with the crew is only going to be happy for a short time. The photos from People of Earth reveal that they will immediately try to find out what happened to the Federation all this time. In addition to that, we have our first glimpse at the new character Adira.

In the second episode, the crew of the Discovery finally made it to the future where Michael is waiting for them a full year to arrive. Not surprisingly, the photos from the next episode show their tearful reunion but the stills also confirm they won't be wasting time trying to find out everything they can about the Federation.

In addition to familiar faces, we also get to see a new character named Adira, who will be played by Blue del Barrio. Adira, like the actor who plays them, is the first non-binary character to be introduced in the Star Trek Universe so we are looking forward to what their story arc in the series.

The synopsis for Star Trek: Discovery Season 3 Episode 3 reads as follows:

"Finally reunited, Burnham and the U.S.S. Discovery crew journey to Earth, eager to learn what happened to the Federation in their absence."

The third episode of the third season is titled People of Earth and is written by Bo Yeon Kim and Erika Lippoldt. Star Trek legend Jonathan Frakes directed the episode. It will air on CBS All Access on October 29.
