Star Trek: Discovery Renewed for Season 4, Production to Begin Soon

The current season of Star Trek: Discovery has just premiered but it looks like CBS All Access already has some good news for fans: The show has just been renewed for Season 4 and production will start very, very soon.

The announcement was made by the cast and crew of Star Trek: Discovery Season 3 in an awesome video. Check it out below.

The video features Sonequa Martin-Green and Doug Jones as well as co-showrunners Michelle Paradise and Alex Kurtzman. Not surprisingly, Martin-Green is already looking forward to working on the fourth season.

"Oh my goodness, I am so excited to be back on set," she gushed. Jones echoed her sentiments, claiming that he is more than ready to be reunited with "the Trek Family, the Discovery Family."

Although everyone is looking forward to working together again, Martin-Green also reminded Trekkies that they should still watch Star Trek: Discovery Season 3. According to the former Walking Dead actress, that's what she is truly excited about this year.

This is truly exciting news considering that people were concerned about the show being delayed even further due to COVID-19. However, it looks like the series will be moving forward although this means that the cast and crew will have to practice safety protocols on the set. Needless to say, we can't wait to get more positive updates about the fourth season.

Star Trek: Discovery Season 3 premiered on CBS All Access on October 15 and the next episode will air on October 22. The fourth season will begin production on November 2.
