Spider-Man 3 Possibly Doomed As Tom Holland Uncertain To Return

It seems like Sony's decision to take Peter Parker away from the Marvel Cinematic Universe could have some drastic consequences. There are speculations that Tom Holland will no longer return in the highly anticipated Spider-Man 3 after the studio parted ways with Disney and Marvel Studios.

Fans were understandably devastated when it was revealed that Sony and Disney did not reach a co-financing agreement over Spider-Man following the success of Spider-Man: Far From Home. While Sony blamed the House of Mouse for the outcome, fans were simply concerned about one thing: What's going to happen to the kid?

There are already speculations that Sony might lose its current Peter Parker. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Holland has an option for one more Spider-Man movie. Unfortunately, there is a possibility that the Avengers: Endgame star will choose not to go through with it if his character no longer exists in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

It was also confirmed that director Jon Watts has already done with his two-picture deal and is now looking for other big projects to work on. Without Watts or the support of Kevin Feige, people are certainly worried about what will happen with Spider-Man 3, if it ever happens.

The "divorce" between Sony and Disney is certainly turning out to be nasty but in the end, the real losers are the fans who will need to accept that Tony Stark left his legacy to a character that no longer exists in the MCU.
