Robert Downey Jr's Emotional Last Day as Iron Man Revealed in Endgame BTS Video

There is little doubt that Tony Stark's final words in Avengers: Endgame was one of the best moments in the Marvel Cinematic Universe flick. Interestingly, that same scene was actually filmed on Robert Downey Jr.'s last day on the set. Not surprisingly, it's a moment that led to an emotional day for the cast and crew, as revealed in a touching behind-the-scenes video.

According to Screenrant, the original scene didn't feature any lines from Tony. Instead, Downey had simply snapped his fingers after gathering all the Infinity Stones in his hand. Luckily, the Russo brothers decided that Iron Man needed to say something and had asked Downey to reshoot the sequence. Although Downey initially didn't want to return, he eventually agreed and so the scene was changed forever.

We now have a glimpse of what it was like when Downey finally completed filming the emotional scene. The Russos have shared the behind-the-scenes video on their official Twitter account along with a touching caption. Check it out below.

"Downey's last day on set after shooting the 'I am Iron Man' moment. The very definition of a legend. We love this man 3000," the Russos wrote before tagging the actor and adding the hashtag #AvengersAssemble.

We're loving the video considering that it was Downey's last day as Iron Man. But is it possible that we'll see Tony in action again in the MCU? Joe and Anthony Russo have previously teased that there is a way to bring back the character.
