Robert Downey Jr Supports Brie Larson's Captain Marvel Premiere

The premiere of Captain Marvel is only a few weeks away and people are understandably excited to meet Carol Danvers. Not surprisingly, even Robert Downey Jr. is already looking forward to Carol's big-screen debut and he wants fans to buy tickets for the Brie Larson film.

Downey recently shared the new teaser for Captain Marvel which actually features Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor. However, it's still all about Carol. Take a look at his post below.

"Some are built. Some are made. Some are born. On March 8, witness the rise of a hero. Get tickets to Marvel Studios' #CaptainMarvel now," Downey wrote.

It's certainly awesome to see that the other stars of the Marvel Cinematic Universe are out to support Carol's standalone film. Needless to say, we are all looking forward to the premiere on Captain Marvel.

The synopsis for Captain Marvel reads as follows:

"Set in 1995, Captain Marvel follows Carol Danvers, a former U.S. Air Force fighter pilot, as she turns into one of the galaxy's mightiest heroes and joins Starforce, an elite Kree military team, before returning home with questions about her past and identity when Earth is caught in the center of a galactic conflict between two alien worlds."

The film also stars Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson. Both characters were introduced in 2008's Iron Man and have been working closely with Tony Stark ever since. Since Captain Marvel takes place in the 1990s, Fury and Coulson will be shown at a time before they have both started handling powerful superheroes.

Captain Marvel will hit theaters on March 8.
