Robert Downey Jr. Hyped Up for Robert Pattinson's Caped Crusader in The Batman

It's no secret that people are already excited about Robert Pattinson finally donning the cowl in The Batman. However, it looks like there's another major star who is also looking forward to the Lighthouse actor becoming the new Caped Crusader. Avengers: Endgame star Robert Downey Jr. has just admitted that he is hyped up about Pattinson's new superhero role.

Downey was recently a guest of the Joe Rogan Experiencepodcast where he revealed that he is excited about seeing Pattinson become the new Batman in the Matt Reeves film.

"I want to see what Pattinson does," Downey said. "I like that guy."

We're not exactly surprised that Downey is hyped up about The Batman and its lead star. After all, Pattinson has already proven that he is a talented actor who can take on any role. Needless to say, we're just as excited as Downey about seeing Pattinson in action next year.

It was previously reported that The Batman is already in pre-production and is expected to begin filming soon. Interestingly, Reeves has chosen to shoot the movie in Scotland, which means that Glasgow will be turned into Gotham City really soon.

The Batman will also star Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as The Riddler, Colin Farrell as Penguin, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Jim Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, and Peter Sarsgaard as Harvey Dent. The film is scheduled for release on June 25, 2021.
