There is little doubt that people are already looking forward to Riddick 4: Furya, which is set to continue Richard B. Riddick's story. But is it possible that an important character from The Chronicles of Riddick will return in the highly anticipated sequel? A new report claims that Karl Urban could reprise his role as Vaako in the Vin Diesel film.

The report comes from We Got It Covered, which cites several sources claiming that Urban is being optioned to return in Riddick 4. This could mean that the Star Trek actor will be working on the sequel as soon as he has completed work on The Boys Season 2, which is currently in production.

Vaako has always been a rather important figure in the Riddick movies but his return in the upcoming sequel could mean that he will become the true villain. After all, he did sort of set Riddick up to fail in his search for Furya the 2013 movie. Although the premise of Riddick 4 is still a mystery, some believe that Diesel's character will be taking revenge on Vaako, who is now the Lord Marshall of the Necromonger fleet.

For now, we have yet to get an official announcement about Riddick 4's production start. In addition to that, it is important to point out that Urban's return has not yet been confirmed so it's best to take it with a grain of salt. In the meantime, fans can rest assured that Urban will be back as Billy Butcher in The Boys Season 2.
