Are you getting impatient waiting for the second part of Rick and Morty Season 4? Adult Swim has something that will make the wait a little easier. A new Rick and Morty short has just been released and it's a bloody samurai film that has action, suspense, and yes, a lot of portals.

The film Samurai & Shogun opens with Samurai Rick wheeling Shogun Morty on an empty rice field under the blood moon when several portals suddenly appeared. The two are accosted by a group of Ninja Ricks who want to take back Shogun Morty. Naturally, Samurai Rick isn't just about to give up his companion and immediately goes in for the attack.

It's a bloody, action-packed short that's pretty much the Rick and Morty version of Lone Wolf and Cub. That said, Samurai Rick easily defeats several regular-sized Ninjas before a giant Ninja shows up. Sadly, the huge thing doesn't even put up a good fight but that's just fine since the weird stuff has yet to come.

We're loving this amazing standalone short that also happens to be in Japanese. Although the film isn't part of the upcoming second half of Rick and Morty Season 4, it has also led to fans begging Adult Swim to release new episodes as soon as possible.

The first half of Rick and Morty Season 4 has already aired on Adult Swim late last year. The next five episodes are expected to drop this year although the release date has not yet been revealed. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
