Project Power Star Jamie Foxx Joins John Boyega in New Sci-Fi Netflix Film

Jamie Foxx is still fresh off the success of Project Power but he has already signed on to another major Netflix film. The Oscar winner has just been confirmed to join the sci-fi flick They Cloned Tyrone alongside Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker actor John Boyega.

Deadline reports that Foxx and Candyman star Teyonah Parris have been cast in the new Netflix movie that will be helmed by Creed 2 screenwriter Juel Taylor for his directorial debut. Although their roles were undisclosed, the film "follows a series of eerie events that thrusts an unlikely trio (Boyega, Foxx, Parris) onto the trail of a nefarious government conspiracy in this pulpy mystery caper." Needless to say, it will be fun to see all three actors interacting in one movie.

The idea of working with Foxx and Parris is clearly an exciting one for Boyega. The Pacific Rim: Uprising star decided to share the good news on his official Instagram account along with a hyped-up caption. Check it out below.

"Looking forward to this! Love to the team!" Boyega wrote.

We can't really blame Boyega for being excited. After all, Foxx is an Oscar winner and Parris is one of the most promising actors in the industry today. Needless to say, They Cloned Tyrone sounds like a movie to look forward to.

They Cloned Tyrone has not yet been given an official production start date or a release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
