Fans who were hoping to see the G.I. Joe spin-off film Snake Eyes this October are in for some devastating news. Paramount Pictures has decided to move the Henry Golding movie to premiere in 2021 and confirmed the new release dates for its other projects.

Snake Eyes was originally set to hit theaters on October 23 but Paramount has decided to postpone the premiere due to the coronavirus outbreak. However, the studio has finally found an ideal date for the film. Collider reports that the film that will focus on the G.I. Joe character's origin story will be released on October 22, 2021. That would be a full year from its original date.

In addition to Snake Eyes, Paramount also announced that Paranormal Activity 7 would be pushed back to 2022. The creepy sequel, which was set to premiere on March 19, 2021, will hit theaters on March 4, 2022, instead.

The seventh Paranormal Activity film isn't Paramount's only scary offering in 2022. A new teaser also confirmed that Scream 5 will premiere on January 14, 2022. You can check it out below.

Snake Eyes is directed by Robert Schwentke and will also star Andrew Koji as Storm Shadow, Iko Uwais as Hard Master, Úrsula Corberó as Baroness, and Samara Weaving as Scarlett. The film will also feature Haruka Abe, Takehiro Hira, Steven Allerick and Peter Mensah in undisclosed roles. It is scheduled for release on October 22, 2021.
